If you yourself or your colleague is a member of Finansforbundet, then the smile is perhaps just a little brighter. Members of Finansforbundet – including those employed at Nordea – score their union better than what is the norm among other unions.

"Every day we work for the interests of the members, regardless of whether it is negotiation of collective agreements, assistance during a critical conversation or offers for developing one’s professional skills. Therefore, I am very pleased that the members are generally satisfied, loyal and happy to recommend us to others," says Kasper Skovgaard Pedersen, president of Finansforbundet in Nordea.

The assessment comes from a satisfaction survey conducted by the company Ennova, which specializes in measuring member experiences.

The only union in Nordea with union representatives

Finansforbundet in Nordea scores 83 out of 100 on Ennova's index of members' satisfaction with counseling. When asked whether the members would recommend Finansforbundet to colleagues or others, Finansforbundet in Nordea’s members give a score of 86. Loyalty is also at the top with a score of 85.

Finansforbundet in Nordea is the only union that has union representatives in Nordea Denmark.

"The appraisal must therefore be passed on to all our local trusted employees. It is the union representatives, senior union representatives and working environment representatives who are our ambassadors locally and have the local dialogues with the management," emphasizes Kasper Skovgaard Pedersen.

The individual's experience counts

Together with the rest of Finansforbundet in Nordea, he will delve deeper into the satisfaction survey to take a closer look at the results.

"We are in an industry where numbers mean a lot, and we are happy about the positive statements in the survey. But it is the individual member's experience that counts. We are very responsive if members or potential members have good input on how we can become even better," says Kasper Skovgaard Pedersen, who adds that his email is always open for comments, suggestions and reflections.
