Maternity/paternity leave at full pay for 26 weeks for both parents

From 2023, most of Finansforbundet’s collective agreements entitle employees to 26 weeks of paid parental leave to both the mother and father if the child is born on or after April 1st 2023.

What about LGBT+ families?  

As of 1 January 2024, we are extending this right to all parents having a parent-like relationship with the child – LGBT+ families, primarily. This means that you enjoy the same rights, usually 26 weeks of leave for both parents, whether you are a mother, father or an LGBT+ family.
