Married at First Sight participant teaches future graduates in financial management
Financial management students at Business Academy Copenhagen are staying tuned to see if their teacher will find love in this season’s Married at First Sight (MAFS).

No secret kissing
It took the associate professor by surprise that a camera had caught her and her husband, Otto Gren Olrik, kissing. They didn’t know before the edited episode was played to them.
"It's a bit strange knowing that the students have seen me kiss, but they have been so nice. One said, ‘We were cheering at my house.’ Another one said: ‘That’s not at all how you come across as a teacher; you seem more giggly on the show.’ Well, there are different sides to me when it comes to love."
Many of the students have also said they are rooting for her and that it is not really strange for them to see her on MAFS because she is only 32 years old, not much older than them.
Applicability at work
Amalie Klæstrup Nielsen teaches personal branding and leadership and expects to apply, to some extent, what she has learned and practiced in 'Married at First Sight'.
"The students in my classes are very reflective, exceptionally aware of their own values and good at expressing them – also when it comes to their own limitations. They are not afraid of showing their vulnerability and insecurity, and they acknowledge such things as being dyslexic or having a diagnosis," says the associate professor.
When she was very young, she dreamt of teaching, but ended up studying marketing and communication at CBS and imagined a career as a cool businesswoman.

A good decision
After some time at a PR agency, she found her way back to her old dream of teaching – and this has turned out to be right.
"I have found the right fit. Working with young people and watching them grow is truly amazing."
But will she also have found the right fit in Married at First Sight? We will just have to wait and see. But one thing is certain, it will be revealed during this season, Amalie Klæstrup Nielsen reassures us:
"I'm not allowed to say much. But I'm really glad that I participated."
