Finansforbundet's Privacy- and Cookie Policy

This privacy and cookie policy applies to Finansforbundet’s app and websites, i.e. Finansforbundet.dk and the websites belonging to Finansforbundet’s local branches (Assurandorkredsen.dk, Danskekreds.dk, Jyskebankkreds.dk, Kredsnordea.dk, Kredsoest.dk, Kredsvest.dk, Nykreds.dk, Sparnordkreds.dk and Sydbankkreds.dk, Worklifeinvestment.dk and Ordbog.finansforbundet.dk).

It applies to both the app and the websites that we always process the data we collect confidentially and we do not sell it to third parties. We disclose information to relevant authorities to the extent required by law.

What personal data do we collect?

As a general rule, you can navigate Finansforbundet’s websites without providing personal data, i.e. data that can be used to identify you as a person, such as first and last name, private address, member number and email address.

However, there are certain special features that you can only use and benefit from if you provide personal data, but it is generally the case that we only ask you for the information that is necessary to be able to serve you.

For example, when you:

  • Log in to get access to Feriebørsen [Holiday Exchange] or edit your member data and consent, because we need to be able to uniquely identify you using MitID or your personal username and password.
  • Sign up for a newsletter, because then we need to know your email address and your name to be able to uniquely identify you and send you the newsletter.
  • Sign up for an event, because we need a number of pieces of information to be able to process your registration and possibly invoice you.
  • Use our payroll or job calculator, because it is necessary, e.g. for salary information, to be able to place your salary level and calculate the value of your salary.
  • Book a career interview, because in doing so, you accept that your career advisor needs access to the results of your exercises so that they can be used as a starting point for the interview. We also use your data to send you career information relevant to your results. For example, this could be information about relevant courses and events.
  • Fill out one of the forms we occasionally use in connection with, e.g. campaigns, where we may need to contact you later.
  • Log in to our extranet, Finansnet, as a delegate, because it is necessary for us to uniquely identify you and your position using MitID or your personal username and password.

If you have given consent by accepting in our cookie policy, we may also collect information to use to optimise our websites and make them even more useful for you as a user in connection with launching new pages and services on our website. The information we can process in this context is your computer’s IP address (processed in pseudonymised form), screen size of device, device type (PC, mobile, tablet), operating system and browser type, geographic location (country only), preferred language (language of pages you visit), URL address of websites you visit, the pages you have visited with us and the date and time of the visits to the pages. The information can only be processed for as long as necessary to optimise the page and is deleted within 365 days at the latest.

What information do we store?

If you have given consent on our website, we can also collect information that we use to optimise the website and make it even more relevant to you.

This involves the following information:

  • Your computer’s IP address in pseudonymised form

How can you get your personal data deleted?

We only store data for as long as we need it to be able to serve you and for as long as is permitted by law. As soon as the need has passed, we delete the data. The period of time depends on the nature of the information and the reason for the storage, and therefore we cannot specify a general time frame for when we will delete the data.

If you wish to have the personal data you have provided on one of Finansforbundet’s websites deleted on your own initiative, please send an email to gdpr@finansforbundet.dk.

What other information do we collect and how?

In addition to the personal data you may be asked to provide in special cases, we collect information that enables us to generate anonymised statistics about the usage of our websites. For example, we keep statistics on how many users visit the website and which pages are displayed the most. The statistics do not contain any information that can be linked to you as an individual and we use it solely to improve the website.
We use Google Analytics to analyse behavioural data. When we collect behavioural data in Google Analytics, we follow the Data Protection Agency’s recommendation and use a technology (“reverse proxy”) that pseudonymises the collected data.

How can you get your personal data deleted?

You can always reject cookies on your computer by changing the settings in your Internet browser. Where to find the settings depends on which browser you are using. However, you should be aware that there will be many functions and services you cannot use, because they assume that the website can remember the choices you make via cookies.

You can also delete cookies that you have previously accepted. If you use a PC/computer with a newer Internet browser, you can delete your cookies by using the shortcut keys CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE. If the shortcut keys do not work and/or you use a MAC, start by finding out which browser you use and then click on the relevant link:

When is communication secure?

When you submit information about yourself via a form on one of our websites, the data is always sent encrypted via https.

What personal data do we collect and use?

The first time you use the app, we ask for your ID or member number and a password of your choice so that we can check whether you are a member of Finansforbundet and also make sure you can log in without an ID or member number in the future. You will also choose the topics you are interested in so that we can make sure you only see the events that are relevant to you.

We supplement the data that we ask you for on the first visit with data that we otherwise have about you, e.g. local union, geography and position of trust. The supplemental data also helps ensure that you are only shown relevant events, e.g. events in your region.

When you use the app, we collect and process this information about you:

  • ID number
  • First name
  • Interests
  • Local union
  • Position of trust
  • Registration for events
What other information do we collect and how?

In addition to the personal data, we collect information that makes it possible to see statistics on the general use of the app. For example, we keep statistics on how many people have downloaded the app, interests selected, and events registered for. The statistics do not contain any information that can be traced back to you as an individual, and we exclusively use the information to help us improve the app and selection of events and news and as part of our service to show you content that is as relevant to you as possible.

How can you get your personal data and other data deleted?

If you want to get your information deleted, you must delete the app itself. In addition, you must send an email to gdpr@finansforbundet.dk asking us to remove your information in the app, i.e. your interests, your registration for push notifications and the statistics that can identify you as a person.

You should be aware that we need to store the information about your registration and payment for events.
